In 2002 Masami Yuki rebooted the series and it was published in Weekly Young Sunday until 2008, it had the same name as the original manga and was collected by Shogakukan into 20 volumes, several months after it ceased publication a sequel called Birdy the Mighty: Evolution began releasing on the same magazine, Evolution ceased publication in 2012 and roughly a month afterwards an epilogue chapter was released on Monthly Big Comic Spirits and was collected into 13 volumes. In 1996 it was adapted into a four part OVA with the same name by Madhouse, Inc. Originally published on Shōnen Sunday Zōkan from 1985 to 1988, the series was abandoned by its author and the unfinished work was published by Shogakukan as "Volume 1". There was a second album of music released named "Blew," but unfortunately, both albums have been out of print for some time and are hard to find in secondary markets.Birdy the Mighty (鉄腕バーディー, Tetsuwan Bādī) was a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Masami Yuki. The track listing and the credits in the liner notes are mostly in English, so the album is a little friendlier to non-Japanese fans than some releases. The other two songs are performed by Kotono Mitsuishi and Tetsuya, who provided the voices for the main characters in the series. There are three vocal songs, but I only remember hearing "future shock" in the OVA series. It's powerful, energetic, and a lot of fun to listen to. You can hear the full main theme performed on "Birdy the Mighty" (track 19) and is used throughout the album, such as "vitamin 2" and "do the right kick." I confess that I really like the main theme, and it was the reason I tracked down a copy of this album. The album does a good job of balancing itself between louder, action pieces and the more atmospheric pieces. Perhaps, it's just that his style is very obvious. kiseki / animetetsuwan birdy decode:02 MAXI SINGLE. When I came back, I saw a gorgeous looking babe in one of the videos to the right with the title 'tetsuwan birdy: decode 2 opening'. I went away for about two hours and youtube had been playing videos automatically. To be honest, listening to this music reminds me a lot of the music from Gundam Wing. The only reason why I found out about it, is because I was listening to anime openings. The music is composed by Kow Otani, who I am mostly familiar with his work for the Gundam Wing series.
